We took a day trip to Washington, DC to visit the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial and some other popular sites. Along the way, we stopped for a little lunch at the FDR Memorial.
Since then, we've also enjoyed a snack while...
- Strolling through the National Aquarium. The hardest part there was keeping August from being distracted by all the pretty lights in the fish tanks.
- In the stands at a Twins/Orioles game.
- Hanging out in the Ergo carrier. Sometimes I'll turn him on his side so he's more comfortable, but he'll often just sit upright. Sitting that way makes him chatty, though, which presents its own interesting problems.
- Sitting at home. This wouldn't be so strange if the doorbell hadn't rung. And if there hadn't been a delivery guy on our front steps. And if he hadn't wanted me to sign for something. And if the large package didn't require two hands to get in the house. The poor delivery guy was definitely the most uncomfortable party in this scenario.
