Happy 4th of July!

Yesterday was the first brewery-free day of our vacation, though both Matt and I enjoyed a cold brew or two at our respective holiday parades. Matt took in the parade in Breckenridge, and I traveled down the road to Frisco, where my wonderful cousin, Chad, clearly enjoyed his blue snow cone:

While I was taking in the Frisco parade, Matt called to tell me that the rehearsal had been moved from 6:00 to 5:00--par for the course this weekend. At least the rehearsal is still in Breckenridge.

We had a wonderful time at the family reunion/rehearsal dinner, though I lost track of the number of times a relative yelled "We're Heidi's family!" after doing something embarrassing. Fortunately, Heidi does not embarrass easily.

We ended our mountain-top Independence Day with some monster-size sparklers courtesy of the groom's family (all of whom were apparently unaware of the pyromania tendencies of the Scherer family) and some beautiful fireworks over the Rocky Mountains.

That's Matt with a fresh haircut. So, yes, it's Matt sans hair. :)
